Still trying to get myself reoriented to being back from Ontario....spent some time cleaning up the studio and made some mugs...pretty pathetic attempt actually!

But in the afternoon, we all got into the truck and headed for this horse ranch about 40 minutes away...Terry wanted some manure for the garden.......man oh man....was there a lot of shit around this place....the pile of horse shit must have been 3 stories high....and it was also so 'high' I really couldn't stand it...i did offer to help, but one whiff of that stuff and i could feel my stomach starting to do some strange flips! so i spent the time take lots of photographs of all the amazing beasts there....this Polish Chicken definitely won out .... what a great outfit eh!!!

There were beautiful horses - the woman who owns and runs the ranch does an amazing job with rescue horses....a very sad and unbelievable treatment of such gentle and beautiful creatures....i could hardly listen to her tell of the Kill Pens.....anyway, she has many lovely horses, but the light in the barn was way too low.....there was such an array of chickens, roosters and ducks....a great treat to be in that environment. The guys (Terry, Richard and Martin) did a great job of acquiring a very large amount of horse manure...which has been deposited at the bottom of the garden....when the wind changes it's pretty rank!!!
