Ahoy Matey!

This is the Hawaiian Chieftain, one of two "tall ships", as they're known, making their way around various locals ports the past couple of weeks. This ship is a replica that is partnered with the Lady Washington, which was used in the Pirates of the Caribbean movie.

This evening, both ships were in Gig Harbor where they were running public sails. Hubby and I stopped by on the way to the movies, just in time to watch the ships pull in as the sun was setting.

A day that started out not so great (traffic that was a result of a fatal car accident prevented me from meeting up with friends for lunch), ended rather nicely.
