Ripples

Yesterday I accidentally came across a strange image on a Google Streetview map of Aberdeen. Thinking it quite funny I tweeted about it.

A short while later I was contacted by a local journalist who wanted to do an article on the newly christened "Horseboy"

Next thing Twitter is alive with it and the story starts appearing on news websites, the radio and television.

The BBC webpage has had over 500,000 hits and in the latest twist the original journalist asked me if I was in fact Horseboy. I'm not.

I am amazed at how these days sharing a simple funny link with a few like minded people can ripple out around the Internet so widely and so quickly.
