Serendipity

On the fourth day of our family reunion, some of us took a boat ride on the Little Sarasota Bay. The weather was steamy and somewhat hazy because of the heat and humidity, but the ride was a lot of fun and provided plenty of blip material. From all the pictures I took, I thought this pelican-in-flight took the prize. I couldn't believe it came out so sharp because it was flying and the boat was moving; serendipity I guess. He flew overhead, then he landed in the water near the boat. It's the first time I saw a pelican "in person".
