Lady Liberty
I celebrated the Solstice today by taking a quick trip out to the Statue of Liberty this afternoon. Beautiful sunny weather in New York City which is a welcome change from the 279 days of sub-70 degree weather we're having in Seattle.
Anyway, I didn't capture anything new or revolutionary of the monument, so I thought I would post a sihouette with a bit of sunburst. Alas, if I had been at this spot an hour earlier I could have positioned the sunburst on the tip of the torch instead of in Lady Liberty's armpit...
I also shot 300+ images of nearly every angle of the statue and pedestal and created a Photosynth of the Statue of Liberty that offers a virtual tour of the monument...
