Calendula
I had a late night last night - teachers' night out to celebrate the end of term. We went to Willie Pa's and enjoyed good Irish cooking - all with fresh, local produce. Driving home, I noticed the Air India Memorial was illuminated so I stopped to look. It was so beautiful - a full moon, the smell of incense and the gentle lapping of the sea.
Grey and humid today, so struggling away in the garden. The colours are amazing and the calendula have gone mad. I initially sowed a few as companion planting - apparently planted next to beans and tomatoes they deter greenfly and other nasties - but they have taken over the polytunnel. Still they're very pretty and nice in a bath too!
