Bark is worse than its bite

What fantastic weather it has been here. I took advantage and went for a long walk - and did a double-take when I passed this silver birch.
I suddenly felt like I was in Tim Burton's A Nightmare Before Christmas, with this tree-face keeping an eye on me, it's mangled mouth smiling with menace.
Or was the heat just getting to me?
