Lilac Cranesbill in the Rockery

We have an abundance of these flowers in our rockery, but I don't know what they are called. I applied a little soft focus.

Breaking news : #1 heard late afternoon that he is through to the third year of his university course. He had hoped to get his results about 10 days ago, but there has been a problem in the Univ. admin. A great relief, as he has booked his flights to go back to Kenya and Uganda, leaving late July.

School holidays started in Glasgow today, so #2 has now officially left ... forever. We had a call from the school this morning about a certain small matter still to be resolved from over a year ago, which was completed at 9.40 am today. Obviously they don't rate achievement very highly.
