Sunflower

For some reason the Prinicipal felt the need to embarrass me at M's school final assembly yesterday morning, by giving me a bunch of flowers for my PTA leading efforts.

I know I should be more grateful, and they really are lovely, and I secretly was happy to get them ( women are lying if they say they don't like getting flowers by surprise), but it does also really make me feel bad, because I only received them by virtue of having the biggest mouth, and not being afraid to stand up and use it. The real workers were all also in the room, and didn't get any flowers. I hope they weren't too mad. Just to assuage my guilt, I'll thank them all here again for their hard work this year, and pray that they don't feel too insulted to come back and be bossed around next year.

Anyway, I hope this sunflower that was in the bouquet is happy enough to scare away some of this rain for a while. I have someone with lots of holidays they want to enjoy in the house!
