After getting Charlotte to school, I took the bus to Wolverhampton where I met Michael and we caught a train to London. Without Charlotte.
Michael had a meeting in London and was always going to be there but when we found out that Brad Paisley (whom I mentioned here before) was in concert, well we saw that as a sign for a mini-break. It was completely mad, rushed/hectic and absolutely brilliant.
By the time we got to London, we had enough time to throw the bags into the hotel before heading off to Apple Headquarters for a meeting. This was a very unqiue experience as it was the day the Iphone 4 were launched and the ques were massive! But where we went, we were allowed to play and have fun with all Apple technology, including the Ipad isowantonenow.
The meeting was actually very interesting and quite exciting to hear the innovative ways of integrating with apprenticeships in large business while maintaining the essentials of education.
Afterwards, we did a hectic dash to O2 Empire to see Brad Paisley. Oh. My. God. It was such a vibrant atmosphere and fantastic concert. We were about 9 rows back from the stage and I don't remembering losing my voice at a concert in a LONG time but it was totally worth it. The only little issue was the amount of stetsons there blocking some views!
If you've never heard of Brad, I suggest your take a few minutes to listen to his songs (his site or use link above). - I prefer the fast pace ones. And to be very honest, I don't normally like country music but he's fresh and funky with a twang.
We didn't get back until very late then we remembered that we didn't eat ... oops!
