Lambir hills National park

Arrived in miri on thursday... ready for the loan Service summer ball.
We decided to escape to miri and have a few days alone... it was lovely.

Went to an esplanade not far from the hotel.. and took some pics... and as i turned to get in the car, a poor wee straggly kitten appeared on the path by the beach.. it sat there and mewed at me...
I may be the only person in Brunei who carries cat food in the car at all time... and today was NO different..
She was very scared of me, but the pull for food got the better of her, and i was able to feed her a bit of dried food..
It broke my heart to see this .. as she was just a kitten herself, and had clearly already had kittens...

i try to help... its pityful.. but..

we drove on to lambir hills, as we had heard it was a good walking e..
Totally inappropriately dressed to go waking.. we wandered through the trail .. sweating profusely!

we got about 1km in and decided to give this idea up.. as we were hot, smelly and getting bitten..
there were beautiful trees, fungus and HUGE ants.. about 1inch long!
Im glad we went... sad we didnt do the proper trail! but we got to see this dragon fly like animal..
