Day one of ten. Blue skies and warm weather made it slightly more bearable, with news that the sunshine had disappeared and temperatures plummeted back home in Warsaw.

Had supper with Jo - catching up on the last 11 months since I last saw her. She's about to embark on a floating job similar to what I used to do, except she'll be based in Moscow, which suggests to me that she'll be spending most of her time there! Another friend who I worked with in India is also on Jo's course (she was meant to be on mine but circumstances prevented it) so we'll just have to make do with meeting up for lunches if we co-incide and suppers, when we're not busy doing other things and meeting other people.
