Tea on the Green

Family summer picnics on the Museum Green in Port Sunlight this afternoon with delcious cakes, cheese, pies, strawberries and home-made lemonade from local producers. A string quartet played, the local children performed traditional English dances and a youth theatre group acted out the Willow Pattern Story. The weather helped, but it was a really good event and I'm sure we'll do it again next year. We could hardly keep up with filling the picnic bags until 3pm, then suddenly it went quiet - was there something on TV?
