Goldfinch

My favourite finch of all - the Goldfinch (European), it's not as bulky as some of the other finches and it has that striking blotch of red which makes it stand out in the crowd. This fella was flitting around the garden most of the day but mainly stayed just out of reach. Got a couple of useable images but I would have really liked to Blip one with the striking yellow sidebars AND the red blotch. Unfortunately today it was either blotch or sidebars. The capture is also a little grainy, it was a really bright day and I was also pushing the focal length too much. Hey ho as I said I really like this bird and it's "delightful liquid twittering song" so definitely wanted to Blip it today.
