Meet

Roger (pronounced the French way). He's 4 years old and autistic. Today we went swimming at 'Het Nije Hemelriekje' (New Little Kingdom of Heaven). Its a shallow lake in the province of Drenthe. We went with a goup of parents and children. What else can you do with this extreem heat then seek for water. I choose this picture after long doubting between

But in the end I chose the one above. He didn't let go of his lovely pink sunglasses the whole time :-)

It was so good to see Roger reacting on the water, he was investigating and calmed by it. Floating on an air mattress and playing with the water with his little hands. There was only one difficult moment and that was when we had to leave the water to go home.

Btw: don't take to much notice of the Roger's hairdo. His mother had a little accident cutting it so the sides all had to go.
