Huckleberry Season

These are absolutely delicious berries, but so small that it takes quite an effort to pick enough for a dessert. A friend and I once picked enough for a pie and (my mouth is watering just thinking of it) it was really very good. Something about it though; one piece was enough. I didn't feel the desire to have any more.

Maybe the berries are small for a reason.
