lightning before the storm

i have been reading up on photographing fireworks and lightning; trying to push myself. i knew a storm was coming so i got out the tripod and started shooting towards the coming storm. 10:30pm EST. i had it set on a 6 second exposure. many of my shots the camera exposure would END and THEN the lightning came. it really is hit or miss and i hit on this one. the thunder was loud with this one -- no need to push my luck further with a storm coming; this was my last shot.
