Each year the City of Livonia, MI celebrates its anniversary of the founding of the City with a week-long party. Held June 22 through 27, in Ford Field, at Farmington Road and Lyndon Street.

History: The original Ferris Wheel was designed and constructed by George Washington Gale Ferris, Jr. as a landmark for the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago, IL. The term Ferris wheel later came to be used generically for all such structures.
