Breakfast Time

This is not a very interesting photograph; just some juvenile White Ibis, and some Giant Egret's having breakfast together this morning, but they were a long way away, so I am really quite happy with the way the picture has turned out. A few days ago, I went to a little camera shop here, to get my camera cleaned; (I can not remember how to lock open the shutter). As with most independent camera shops these days, they carry very little stock, and what they have is mostly Canon. However while my camera was having it's wash and brush up, I saw a old Nikon camera, and some bits and pieces that someone had brought in to sell. On the camera, was an old Tamron 200 -400mm lens, which as soon as was possible without actually snatching my camera from the assistant hand, I soon had attached, and was out in the street taking pictures of Dunkin Donuts and distant flagpoles. Despite my wobbly hands, (it's heavy!), the shots were not too bad, and when he said he thought the price was $130, I bit his arm off and fled with it, before he could think again. So, today, I put my tripod in the car, went to where I knew I could find birds, and voila! Not too dusty, do you think? I am certainly going to get $130 worth of fun out of it anyway.
