Always expect the unexpected

F and I went for a country ramble in Kent. We strolled through fields of poppies and haystacks, listening to skylarks that leapt up with a song as we startled them. Then it was us who got a fright - stepping through a gap in a hedge we came face to face with this! The passengers waved and smiled at me as I blipped them (I recovered from my astonishment enough to grab the camera). At least I think they were smiling and waving - perhaps they were shouting for help!? Why on earth were there army vehicles taking pleasure rides around the quiet fields of Kent? There must have been a fete nearby, I hope.
