Wax eye getting up close and sharper!

Okay so I'm addicted to taking photos of wax eyes! They are such colourful little birds and very feisty. If they spent as much time eating as they do making threat postures they'd be twice the size. I've been trying to get a sharp picture - I love taking bird pics but I'm not great at getting them composed and sharp. This is probably the effort I'm most satisfied with to date - now I want to get an action photo, but you need a bright light for that and we haven't seen much of that in Christchurch lately. And it's hard to get a light in the eye too!
