Up the garden path

Gardening has been thoroughly neglected this year; seemed a low priority.

No weeding done.

Daughter instructed to weed.

One side done; got bored.

Weeds flourished;

and blossomed.

Note: an example of how impatience pays off sometimes. Couldn't be bothered to find tripod, which gave me a nice low angle with camera perched on nearby boot. Wanted the sun to go in so the background in the sun would not be overexposed, but clouds are never there when you need them, so I took the pictures anyway and I like the way the bright background (which I did tinker with) emphasises the man walking up the path (who is of course me).
