Dawn from the wrong end

SooB: "Isn't the sky an odd colour"

MrB: "That's because it's dawn."

Hazy journey back to Edinburgh. A family arrived near us in the train who were jumping on an earlier train than they'd booked so they could get home in time to watch the football. They had to buy new tickets. Along with the price they'd already paid (1st class) that made the total journey £1,000. I hope (backblipping so I know the footie result) they were supporting Germany.
