Football Card

Went to the pub yesterday with Lee who was visiting from Hull.

Lee is a staunch United fan and not only did I have to endure watching United beat Chelsea (I was with my father-in-law too who is a Chelsea fan) but Lee won the football card too - on his first visit to the pub!

To emphasise his luck even further, he bragged about how he had chosen Grimsby as that was the nearest place to Hull that was available on the card. When we recovered the card later, it appeared that he had made a mistake and filled in the next box by mistake (Cambridge United) which ended up being the winner!

I knew he hadn't chosen Grimsby - as I had!!!!

Anyway, the card came home with us and I have snapped it today as the weather is so lousy for anything else more interesting.

If you are really bored, like myself, you could study the various strategies employed by people in playing the card - which seem to be random, rows or columns (or a combination of all of them) and see how close people came to winning. Only if you are really sad, though, like me.
