Pyramidal Orchid
I mentioned on a previous blip that I'd spread the soil from the digging of the newt pond round the garden and that a surprise number of plants had come up since. I also said that they must be relic seeds from a time before the house was built. The most surprising flower was this one. Where they occur locally they are always in substantial numbers but we have this solitary one. It has flowered for the past four years and looks strong enough for a few more yet.
