Kunming - Lijiang Railroad (& The Art of Trave
Going back through hundreds, maybe thousands of pictures can seem like such a chore, especially after lugging a backpack around weeks. This feeling, however, changes when you come across an unexpected picture that catches your eye (again).
On this stretch of newly laid railroad, (09') you can find all sorts of rolling landscapes. From dinosaur fossil fields to rice patty terraces, the tracks of northern-central are painted red with soil with lush green pines to contrast. The area has been hit hard by drought this year, including the surrounding provinces of Hunnan and Guizhou.
