Go Ghana

The whole country is mad about football at the moment, including this kid in the 'cinema' of Cape Coast where Ghanas second group match was shown. The party afterwards was amazing, with a massive procession through Cape Coast's streets following their victory. The madness is growing now Ghana is Africa's hope in the tournament as every other African nation was eliminated. The street vendors who normally sell jars of glue or biscuits to people who are stuck in a traffic jam in Accra have been replaced by street vendors selling Ghanaian flags, bracelets, shirts, or vuvuzela's.

One tip for people visiting Ghana related to this: stock up on your football knowledge! It is often the first thing people (mainly men) start to chat about, and it can get quite awkward if the Ghanaian explains your own footbaal team to you...
