Young Deer in Distress
This is a portrait of a Young Buck. He was grazing near the 15th Tee on our MountainView Golf Course this evening around 6 pm.
It may also be the portrait for his obituary because he was in distress and didn't run away because of the pain. His left foreleg was badly broken at the knee and twisted around until it was backwards.
It was sad to see him try to hobble along, barely walking. He may not last through the night because predators can sense when an animal is weak.
This photo trumped a dandy close up of a Pyrrhuloxia and some nice shots of a family of Javelinas. Also the Bunnies and the coveys of quail were out.
