Cladrastis lutea

Cladrastis lutea,Kentucky Yellowwood or American Yellowwood.

We've been to Enköping (Sweden) today, after shopping and lunch we took a cup of coffee at a very special place. In the garden we took our coffee under a big tree with very beautiful white flowers. The owner of this place told use the swedish name of this tree, Gulved (cladrastis lutea).

This sort comes from east USA. Every year it grows about 20 cm and it can be 10-15 meters high.
In the spring the leaves are yellow, in the fall the leaves become yellow, gold, and orange. The small flowers are white growing in bunches of 15-30 cm long. Flowering is in early summer and is variable from year to year, with heavy flowering every second or third year.
