school tie
It's been a significant day in the lives of the mini pinks.
Baby Pink has found her walking feet, and rather than just the odd step, she has made several steps. Across the room type steps. And she's done it lots. I'm still hesitant to say she's walking, as she knows she can get anywhere a lot quicker by crawling, but today she demonstrated that if there is icecream in mummy's hand, she can walk the length of lounge to get to it!!
Master Pink has had is second trial session at "big" school. The first didn't go down very well, his words afterwards were, "I don't like it, it's rubbish". Today though he told me quietly, "I'm going to be brave and not be sad today". Although not actually saying he had enjoyed himself, he seemed much more happier afterwards, and told me all about the "buddy's" and how they had played with him and his friends. After the school session had finished we visited the uniform suppliers who had set up a shop in the school hall. Master Pink wasn't overly enthusiastic about his uniform, and especially not about trying it on - it was much more fun to throw his cap in the air with his peers. But lots of money later and an order for a school jumper processed, we came away with pe kit, ties, a book bag and socks.
This is Master Pink modelling his new tie, at five minutes to bedtime!
