Hitch-hiker

As I got into the car to pick up the boys from school today, I noticed something brown in colour as I was about to close the car door. On closer inspection I found this snail (don't know how it got there), stuck to the door pillar on the car. At first I had reservations about closing the door in case I smashed it to smithereens, but when I thought about it I realised that it was perfectly safe because it was already there.
I left it on the car so that I could show the boys when they came home, then it was plucked from the car and thrown into next doors garden!
