FIFA Fever

Still running high, as the image shows! Cars adorned with flags even little Zakumi hanging from the front mirror.

Zakumi is the official mascot of the FIFA event and means the following: ZA stands for the international code for South Africa, and -kumi means 10 in quite a few, of the more than eleven official, black languages.
So what it says is: South Africa-ten.

Inside the shops and Malls are still many displays and mementoes for sale. An art gallery is displaying originals and prints (quite nice) depicting many aspects of the FIFA Football scene. Really collectors pieces, it would look lovely in a living room or a pub.

These few days of rest have caused many people to feel at a loss after all the hype and excitement of the past few weeks. Even those who were previously not interested in football, have mentioned that even they cannot wait for the games to resume!
