Never to return?

This is my nursing badge from many years ago. I felt quite proud to wear it and always pinned it on before I went on duty as a Staff Nurse. After many weeks no...months of procrastinating(more than likely driving my friends mad), I decided to enquire about Returning to Practice.
Well now I know I can't...its out of my hands. My local health board are no longer doing courses for returners.(Thanks Mr Cameron...)
I now feel quite sad. End of an era.
