Camera Shy!
I was very lucky today; I saw two pairs of Black-bellied WhistlingDucks and the family of Wood Ducks; the babies are almost grown up, and all nine are still there. The mystery of the extra two that i saw a while ago is solved; there are two mums. I tried to get a picture of the Whistling Ducks with the Wood Stork, but the pictures were dull. So, I have gone with one duck and the stork. They took off within seconds of each other, and I did not get them in the same shot. This picture is a 'vrai canard', a stitch up, or shall I call it a collage?
The Whistling Ducks are VERY rare in Florida; the Wood Stork is on the endangered species list, so it is quite exciting to see them
