Nature....

At 0800 i received a text from Claire, who had been running on the beach.. she thought she may have run past a beached dolphin on her run.I gave her a call and asked if she would like us to come to the beach with her to see if we could help,. but she then added it may have been a shark, or a piece of wood... she wasnt too sure...
Claire knew if there was a vague chance of helping this animal.. then she had to do something, and soon.. (she was quite worried how she would feel IF it did turn out to be a piece of wood!)
So, she came and picked steve & i up and we jogged (!!??) from the car park on to the beach, to where the animal lay in the water..

It was motionless
Steve turned it over, and sadly it looked like it had been washed up onto the shore as it was dead..
how sad, but i suppose thats the law of nature.

I know nothing about dolphins at all.. and have no idea what species it was.
Such a shame..
