Top of the Pops
(Oops. Buggered that one up. All this back blipping and I got my 365th wrong. Posted it a day late!. What an idiot. I blame it on the Whisky)
Raining when we got up this morning and raining after we'd had breakfast too so decided to have a lazy day wrapped up cozy in the cottage instead. The kids were most happy at this as they'd conspired to mutiny anyhow if we'd packed them off in the car for another day looking at and scrambling over beaches, lochs, hills, etc. Philistines.
So we sat and drank coffee, ate cakes, watched some rubbish telly and played cards. The kids plugged themselves into various Xboxes, PS3s and iPods and kept themselves amused.
A bit of cabin fever eventually set in so we took a walk down to the village for some fresh air. The shops down here seem to have a strange concept of window dressing as many of them had strange things like this going on in there. I have absolutely no idea what was going on in here other than some tenuous link to 'Top of the Pops'. Bear in mind this shop advertised itself as an electricians and sold everything from vacuum cleaners to fishing rods. After our 'Wicker Man' experience earlier in the week this just added to the quirkiness of small village life.
EDIT: It has just been pointed out to me that there is method behind this madness and that the display is a reference to a famous choon...? Can see it now of course... ...
