Looooong Night
I've been trying to translate this into English, or at least explain this, but it's quite hard. Bottom line is that i'm member of a 'student organization' of Mathematics, Physics, astronomy and Computer Science students, and next to the meetings of the board and organizing committees and such, once in a while you have this "ALV (Algemene Leden Vergadering)" which means all the members (700 / 800) are invited for the meeting and can say their say. Not that we have that much people actually coming, but its the thought that counts.
Specs for tonight:
5,5 hours of discussion
1 new board (5 members)
a handful of sleepy people
and a couple of camera-addicted people shooting too many pictures (how we are going to merge 4 cameras that (i guess) shot a couple of hundred photos each is beyond me...)
Anyway, people liked some of my shots for the photo contest! The jury thought that this shot should win in its category, because it would annoy people that have to look at it (in the Canteen, keeping in mind that the card says "whoever reads this is eating shit")
and these shots (also by me ;D) where popular enough to get the most votes in their category:
Nightshot
the Doors of Selwerd
you've seen this one before, as i blipped it :) (also jury, not vote)
Is it to much bragging here? Maybe, but I wanted to tell it anyway :)
final jury-pick and overall winner was this shot by a friend of mine in the category "series", that consists of 43 shots of melting ice ;)
(this text might still need some work, but it had to be a quick type, because i have to do some work too you know ;) )
(ps: AGAIN, uploaded against the wrong date. fixed withing 3 seconds, next time i'll do it correctly. i hope.)
