Echinops.
A quick wander around the garden trying to capture the swooping housemartins proved to be a waste of time, those little things move so fast that all I got was a blur.
So I turned my attention to things that didn't move quite so much! Although this wasn't easy either as we had quite strong winds in the afternoon and everything was swaying around crazily. Fortunately in a lull I managed to get the echinops, or globe thistle, soon it will have a lovely lilac flower head and hopefully lots of visiting bees.
