2
After spending most of the day in the flat, I headed out in search of the number 2 mid-afternoon. Knowing that the number 2 bus would pass through the Grassmarket, and since esme was down there already, that's where I headed.
The photo of the bus was really dull, and badly framed, so I kept looking. Outside some hotel up near the Royal Mile, there was a "Two courses for...", but that wasn't very inspiring either. I didn't see any more 2s for ages, not even building numbers. Eventually, on the way home I passed "Thrift Shop 2" on Gilmore Place. Hmm, not bad.
Then it hit me. The photo above is of the t-shirt I'd been wearing all day! I wouldn't make this up, I'm too lazy. Had I thought about it, I would have seen the opportunity to avoid the walk into town. Ok, it's a bit of a weird 2, but I'd just spent over an hour and a half looking, when it was literally right under my nose all the time, so the story/stupidity was too good to miss. I promise I didn't put this t-shirt on deliberately, it was either dumb luck or my subconscious.
