I had just passed through customs at the airport in Quito, to be greeted by the typical huge crowd (at least five times as many as captured here). I think the victory sign from the young lady in front was to encourage me after my full day of travel (Westchester to JFK to Miami to Quito--incidentally catching glimpses of the two World Cup matches in the airports).

Today (Sunday) is a rest day, then I meet most of my photography group tomorrow for a hummingbird outing. The next day we're off to the Galapagos Islands.
