Confusion

After walking the length of the hospital and two flights of stairs, Sarah arrived at the nurses' station of the Medical Ward.

"Hiya," she said cheerily. "What have you got for me, then?"

The male nurse smiled, but looked mildly puzzled.

"Hi. How'd you mean love, are you here to pick something up?"

Sarah explained, but she could see this didn't clarify the situation. "Well, you can have a look at the rota," he suggested, "but I didn't see any changes to the team when I looked. Sister just put it up a short while ago, too. Can't see it would have been changed since."

Sure enough, when she looked, she couldn't see her name anywhere. She thanked him for his help, and said she'd better get back and find out what was going on.

"I think someone's having you on, maybe," he replied.
