Sconcefest

Today was the festival at one of the local parks called sconce and devon park. The council have just spent 2 miilion pounds regenerating it and so they put on a festival to celebrate. Daddy pig was at work so we got ready for when he got home so we could go straight out and have a look before it closed. The park has alot of history behind it.

During the civil war Newark town was under siege 3 times. So a fortification was built (which was basicly a large hill ) so that the locals could go ontop of the hill and see all around the surrounding areas for safety. Am sure its more complex than that but without boring you to death thats about the jist of it. Anyway this fortification is in the centre of the park. The picture is of one of the signs in the park (wonder how much of the 2 million budget it cost) No point in photographing anything else their as it was a bunch of crappy fairground rides, burger and ice cream vans. Then it was home for a roast chicken dinner i had made earlier in the day and plated up ready.

Harvey is getting better with his walking now and i am sure it wont be long before he opts for walking more than crawling which is his most favorite thing right now.
