Poo and wee, wee and poo

Note before I start: the title does not refer in any way to the flag on the photo!!!!!

An interesting morning, where I decided that:

a) Feeding Thai food to a 7-month old baby is bound to have repercussions the next day when changing nappies.
b) Always, always empty a toddler's potty immediately it is filled. Do not continue eating lunch, or else you risk something happening with the contents of the potty like, say, wee being used as 'paint' on an aquadoodle mat.

This afternoon we went to party to celebrate Grace's best friend Gabrielle's 3rd birthday. Hard to believe our little gang of babies are turning 3. It's Grace's turn next month. It was a truly lovely occasion. The party was held at Gabs's Nana and Grandad's house, a big farm up on the hilltop with stunning views across to the village. There were party games, plenty of sunshine after the showery start, with platesful of yummy food and orange squash for the kids; and bruschetta with pimms and lemonade to drink for the adults. As it is Independence Day for our American cousins, and Gabs' Nana is a huge fan of US country music, they had the flag flying at the party today and it seemed fitting, despite all the gorgeous pics I have of the kids enjoying themselves this afternoon, to post this photo where the flag is a US one, but the view is very Northumbrian. Happy Independence Day to all the US blipfoto people out there.
