Crow hopping....
.... on North Berwick beach: I love this hopping, skipping thing Crows do.
Sometimes, in the morning on the motorway, I see a Crow ahead, dealing
with a dead Rabbit. The Crow looks up, sees me tearing down upon him.
He thinks: ' Right. He's doing about 70 miles an hour. That gives me time
for two more pecks.' Which he does, then strolls to just over the white line
( Crows know the highway code) to wait till I'm past.
But sometimes they go for one extra peck, then: ' Oh, oh, I'd better shift fast.'
Then they do their wonderful hopping, skipping move. Sometimes I almost
crash with the distracting joy of such a thing.
Though, I know, not so great for the Rabbit.
