Guesthouse lady portrait
She actually asked me to take a foto of her, even without once again asking me to marry her, or her sister, or just folding her in my backpack to take her home - I have disappointed her quite a few times now...). I should really get rid of my shyness regarding portraits of strangers. They often make the best fotos, and most people will probably be flattered rather than offended when you ask them, but I still won't do it easily. A shame really, because I met some very interesting and colourful characters here, from the traditional communities in the north to the rastafari guys on the beaches of the south.
I was quite grateful for her question, because it was night and had no fotos for the day yet. Being back in Accra returned me to my Accra-photography-problem: i get very few interesting fotos here, because in most places I don't feel comfortable taking my big camera out (travel tip: take a small camera with you!), because most Accra places are just not at all interesting to take fotos of (all streets look alike) and because, unlike places where you are familiar, you don't know that one spot nearby where you can always find something interesting.
