Today when I was hungry I wandered the streets, marvelling at the summer. In a side street away from the busy traffic I found a small brightly-coloured shop, yet filled with people of all nationalities choosing from the foods. There were so many I could not name them all, nor eat them all in a lifetime. I purchased some fine biscuits baked on the premises and an apple. A little further on there was a place which served refreshments, a man and his assistant smilingly vending all the day to passer-bys. As I watched they prepared for me a fresh coffee right before my eyes, and still smiled throughout. I thanked them back with a smile and took my foods to sit and eat and marvel, in a nearby quiet walled place in which benches are placed for people to rest during their passage.
