Felled

Last night's huge wet windy thunderstorms uprooted this big healthy aspen that has stood at the end of the cottage deck since we built the place thirty five years ago. No doubt it was standing long before that.
The storm uprooted it and tipped its crown into that of another large aspen in the public reserve area. It was too unstable to leave that way but not easy at all for RS to actually bring it down safely. We'll have a lot of firewood once it seasons.
