Procrastination and the joys of grinding
A loooong day today with not much work to keep me going. You'd have thought I'd relish the prospect of having time to potter about online but actually the novelty wore off quickly. I've never been good at skiving - it makes me feel very guilty and agitated.
However I have discovered this brilliant blog, which I'm now totally obsessed with.
And of course I'm loving being back on Blipfoto again - it left a big hole in my life when I stopped Blipping and it's lovely to be back at it.
Andy pointed out tonight that I should use my extra time productively and work on some creative writing. He's right of course. I need to stop making excuses not to even try. That's the whole point of my big life change, after all.
Other than procrastination, today I achieved some very nice pasta with homemade pesto. It was amazingly satisfying to grind up the ingredients in my new stone mortar and pestle. Simple pleasures!
