Memorial Library
Fitzroy House, the former Memorial Library built in 1862, stands on the site of the Grey Friars, which was dissolved in 1538. The building had been presented to Lewes by Hannah Fitzroy in memory of her husband Sir Henry Fitzroy, MP for Lewes from 1837-1859.
