Tranquility

It was a better day today, but there's still a lot to be gained from stopping off at an oasis of calm.

This is St Cyr's Church in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire, and is on my route home from work. The water you can see is the Stroudwater Canal, which is in the process of being restored so that narrow boats can use it again.

I guess that once upon a time this was quite a busy spot. Whether it will be again is open to question. I've blipped before on this canal, but just as a reminder they are restoring a landlocked section, which means that its potential is pretty limited (in my opinion).

But maybe places like this were meant to remain peaceful.
